Large Crowds Spotted Outside Magic Kingdom Today
The summer is usually a pretty busy season for Disney World. However, in recent weeks, we’ve been kind of surprised at how low the crowd levels are.
Even the 4th of July wasn’t as busy as we expected! However, it seems that there’s a summer travel boom happening right now, because things are picking up!
Magic Kingdom Crowds
Yesterday, we noticed a bunch of people at Magic Kingdom, and it was the same situation this morning. We first noticed the large amount of people at the Transportation and Ticket Center early this morning.
This was the line to go through security! We caught the crowd while we were on the EPCOT monorail.
Just look at all of those people lined up!
If you don’t know, you have to go to the Transportation and Ticket Center first if you’re trying to get on the monorail or ferry going to Magic Kingdom.
When we checked out the entrance to Magic Kingdom, the crowds continued.
There were SO many people in line to get into the park!
This can be common during the early morning when people are trying to rope-drop the park. However, when we checked out the entrance around 11AM, it seemed to have gotten even WORSE!
It looks like a lot of people chose this morning to sleep in and show up to Magic Kingdom a little later.
Those lines do NOT look fun.
So, how are things inside the park? We checked out the wait times just before 1:30 and they were pretty high compared to what we’ve seen lately.
The longest wait time was for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at 105 minutes, then it was Peter Pan’s Flight at 95 minutes, and Space Mountain at 85 minutes.
As for the other rides in the park, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin was at 75 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was at 65 minutes, Pirates of the Caribbean was at 60 minutes, and Haunted Mansion was at 55 minutes.
So, if you’re going to Magic Kingdom this week, be prepared for some lines and crowds! To try and get the most out of your day, consider rope-dropping the park, taking advantage of Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours, or using Genie+ to get on as many rides as possible.
