Cast Members From Around the World Materialize For ‘Haunted Mansion’ World Premiere
Haunted Mansion Cast Members from around the world received a ghoulishly delightful surprise this weekend when they were invited to the Disneyland world premiere of Disney’s upcoming Haunted Mansion movie!
Walking the red carpet in New Orleans Square, the group of maids, servants, and butlers were dressed in the daft disguise of their home attraction’s unique costume. Along the way, they even got to meet the president of Disney, Parks, Experience and Products, Josh D’Amaro, and former Imagineer Tania McKnight Norris, who worked on the interior design of the attraction. Tania is responsible for the Haunted Mansion’s iconic purple wallpaper!

“It’s still hard to believe, honestly. Even standing here right now,” said Matt Desilets, representing the Magic Kingdom Park attraction. “I just never thought that I would actually get to do something like this.”
A Special Bond
According to those involved, however, the best moments were those spent together, bonding over their shared experiences.

“It’s really rewarding to be able to meet these people and call them friends and make those relationships,” said Alex Salinas, representing the original Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park.
To make things even more exciting, the Cast Members came bearing gifts for one another from their home parks. These included stickers, toys, nametag flags, and special mementos.

The Disneyland Park attraction cast, for example, was given a replica painting of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers from the Mystic Manor cast.
“This is a special moment for us,” said Mystic Manor cast member Annto To. “We are so glad to be a representative, to present [a gift] and to come here to enjoy the premiere.”

Back Where It All Began
Finally, the night was capped off by a cast tradition — a late-night guided walkthrough of the original Haunted Mansion.
“This was my first time visiting Disneyland park, and I felt really welcomed, not just by word but by what [the cast] were showing me,” said Noriko Kubota, from the Haunted Mansion at Tokyo Disney Resort. “They were really talking to me as their friends. And that’s something I kind of want to take back to Tokyo as well.”

As the various Haunted Mansion cast members prepare for their trip back, one thing is certain. A ghost is definitely following them home.
