Jollywood will be a separately ticketed event held on select nights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it will include live entertainment, the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! nighttime spectacular, and more, and now we have a clue about another exclusive form of entertainment.
The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along?
According to Disney’s current list of upcoming auditions, they are now seeking performers for a “new offering” of a live version of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas to be performed on select nights between November 11th to December 20th. In case you missed it, this is the same date range for Jollywood Nights.
Auditions are scheduled for July 17th, 2023 at 3PM ET.

According to the listing, the Hyperion Theater will be “transformed to set the stage for a dark, dreamlike adventure that follows two fans through a reality-bending exploration of their favorite film- Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” They note that Jack Skellington or Oogie Boogie could appear!

Disney is looking for “two male and female presenting comedic actors who move well and can demonstrate exceptional storytelling through expressive physical movement. These characters should be immediately likable and accessible with a comedic sensibility. Though very much adults, they see the world through the lens of a child, finding curiosity and wonder in the most mundane of objects. Clowning or pantomime experience is a plus!”
Does that sound like a Nightmare Before Christmas sing-along to you? We can’t wait to find out more!
