Can you believe it’s been almost 60 years since Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room debuted at the Happiest Place on Earth? It opened on June 23, 1963.

I have fond memories of visiting this attraction when I was a child. I especially enjoyed the special pineapple treat that can still be obtained at the location!
I’m referring to the Dole Whip of course! You can order one of these at the Tiki Juice Bar from inside and outside of the attraction.

The Tiki Room is a special place. “Tropical birds, tiki gods, and colorful flowers come to life in a swinging South Seas musical celebration!”
The groundbreaking Audio-Animatronics technology seen in the show debuted when it opened at Disneyland. The synchronization of movement with audio and visual effects inspired other attractions like “it’s a small world”, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion.

In a few days, a special collectible will arrive at the Resort in honor of this nostalgic Disneyland fixture. Disney Eats took to Instagram to share the news today!
The post reads, “To celebrate the upcoming 60th anniversary of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, a new limited time José tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki mug will be flying in at Trader Sams at Disneyland Resort this Friday, June 16!”

“The special mug will only be available via mobile order through the Disneyland app for a limited time on Friday, June 16 with mobile orders starting as early as 6AM PT. Once ordered, pick up within your designated arrival window, between 7AM-3PM. Limit 2 per order.”
