Another Disneyland Paris Cast Member Strike Planned for this Weekend: All You Need to Know
If you have plans to visit Disneyland Paris this weekend, you’d better take note.
Another day of organized demonstrations by Cast Members has been planned for Saturday, and we’re here to tell you exactly what this means, and how it will affect your trip.
In case you’ve missed the recent news, Cast Members have been storming Disneyland Paris with organized strikes periodically over the past month, protesting in favor of better pay and working conditions.
Marching through various areas of the resort and ultimately gathering on Main Street, U.S.A, these strikes have undoubtedly had a significant effect on day-to-day operations, leading to guests having to be re-routed, parades being canceled, and other showtimes being affected also.
It looks like the disruption has really started to take effect, as today we’ve seen that an official Disneyland Paris information source has released a slew of information to guests, pre-advising them of another strike situation this weekend.
On Twitter, Disneyland Paris Help announced:
“Due to a planned strike at Disneyland Paris by part of our staff on Saturday 3 June, certain shows or activities may be disrupted or even cancelled.”
As well as giving this pre-warning, the company has also shared that they will be wavering on various terms and conditions of guests’ tickets, meaning visitors now have the option to amend their plans to avoid the strike day.
So, although “the Disney Parks and Hotels will remain open and [Disneyland Paris] will do everything possible to provide the most complete experience possible,” guests do have the option to postpone or modify their Saturday visit. This includes:
- The modification or refunding of dated tickets, free of charge
- The cancellation or modification of undated tickets up until 10 am on the day, without invalidating the ticket itself (subject to its expiration date)
- Refunding of pre-booked, paid services that Disneyland Paris are unable to provide, including Disney Premier Access
So, if you do have plans to visit the resort this weekend, be sure to take these options into consideration. More information can be found in the Twitter thread here, and it’s important to note that each clause does have exceptions, as usual.
As always, be sure to stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com for updates on these strikes, and more from Disneyland Paris.
