Disneyland Paris Cast Member Strike Continues — More Parades Canceled
The Disneyland Paris cast member strikes continued today, with over 1000 Cast Members participating according to organizers.
The striking employees are demanding better pay and working conditions.
According to DLP Report on Twitter, the strikers marched through Fantasyland, before they gathered on Main Street USA.
The street was completely gridlocked by the strike, and guests were rerouted through the Arcades. According to reports, most of the park’s attractions were still accessible.
Demonstrations Throughout The Resort
Continuing their demonstration, striking Cast Members then marched through Avengers Campus at Walt Disney Studios Park.
They also marched around Lake Disney and the Disney Village, before regrouping near the train station.
Later in the afternoon, strikes resumed at Disneyland Paris, where Cast Members congregated on Central Plaza.
Today’s actions were the latest demonstration by Disneyland Paris Cast Members. Strikes have been periodically ongoing for month, although today’s demonstrations were larger than previous strikes.
More Parades Cancelled
As has happened in the past, performances of “Dream… and Shine Brighter” were canceled today. Striking Cast Members instead chanted, “The parade is us.”
