Disneyland Paris Cast Member Strike Causes Parade Cancelations
As Disneyland Paris Cast Members continue their push for better pay and working conditions, a group of disgruntled employees took to the streets…well, Main Street, U.S.A.
Guests visiting Disneyland Paris today were greeted by striking Cast Members, who are continuing to pressure Disneyland Paris management to meet their demands.
Here’s What Happened
According to DLP Report, the morning began with non-striking Cast Members clearing the stage area for the strike to take place. Guests were then diverted around the area to the arcade to reach their destinations.

Although Disneyland Paris Cast Members had previously gone on strike behind the scenes, this was the first time that a rally took place within the park.
Dream…Shine Brighter Parade Cancelled
Due to the strike, one performance of the Dream…Shine Brighter Parade was canceled as the parade could not travel down its usual route.
This is not the first time the park has been forced to cancel a parade due to ongoing labor disputes. A performance of Disney Stars on Parade was canceled just a few weeks ago.
In February, Dream…and Shine Brighter was performed without any characters, and another performance was canceled altogether.
Disneyland Paris employees have been demanding increased wages and better working conditions for months. As of now, nothing has changed.
Ongoing Ramifications
After their demonstration, Cast Members exited the park and Disneyland Paris briefly returned to normal operations. The 12:25 p.m. showing of Dream…and Shine Brighter was performed as planned.
The 4:50pm performance of “Rhythms of the Pride Lands” was also canceled. “Disney Stars on Parade” is very likely to get canceled as well. pic.twitter.com/JQqOmc4QYM
