5 Ways to Stay Fit at Disney Resorts Including All-New Pickleball with Disney Family Wellness
Going on a Walt Disney World vacation doesn’t mean you have to abandon your fitness routine! In fact, there are several ways you can keep your fitness goals on track when you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel during your vacation and that is why Disney has just introduced the Disney Family Wellness Collection – and it includes the uber-popular Pickleball!

The Disney Family Wellness Collection features all of the activities offered at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels curated with families in mind to promote health and well-being. From activities in the pool and on nature and walking trails to the sport that’s sweeping the nation, pickleball, there are so many ways to stay active on your next Walt Disney World vacation.

1. Lion King-Themed Family Fitness Classes
On select days, in the Lion King section at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, families can participate in a 25-minute fitness class inspired by the hit Disney movie, “The Lion King.”
Families can stretch and dance to iconic songs from the movie while taking in all the larger-than-life decorations and getting ready for an exciting day in the Parks!

2. Wellness Scavenger Hunts
At Disney’s All-Star Resorts, families can grab a map at the front desk or retail location and embark on a wellness scavenger hunt throughout the resort that includes fitness challenges the whole family will enjoy including taking a “victory lap” around larger-than-life replicas of your favorite Disney Movies or showing off your best touchdown celebration dance!
Once complete, you will want to head back to the resort’s retail location to pick up a button that celebrates your accomplishments.

3. Disney on Demand: Wellness Edition
The Disney wellness magic also extends to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room! There, you can switch watch a stretching video starting Mickey Mouse that is perfect to check out before you set out for a fun day in the Parks,
Some other short videos you might want the family to check out are ones explaining the benefits of good sleep and healthy eating.

4. Family Walks and Runs
Thinking of a runDisney race? Or just looking for a great path to walk or run around with the family? Then, make sure to head over to Crescent Lake.
Crescent Lake is located in the middle of popular Walt Disney World Resort Hotels including Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort as well as Disney’s BoardWalk and backs up to EPCOT and can accommodate everyone’s walking or running pace.

5. Pickleball
We asked for it and Disney is giving it to us! The most popular sport sweeping the nation is now Pickleball and Guests at select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels now have the opportunity to get some matches in!
Tennis courts at the following Resort Hotels have been fitted to host Pickleball:
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort
And, don’t worry about the equipment! Disney will rent you out everything you need to get a match at no extra cost.
To help us keep up with our fitness and wellness goals while on our vacation, Disney has also just announced that several water bottle filling stations are being installed at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to keep us hydrated at all times!
