A Whole Cast of Beloved Disney Characters Show Up For Throwback Nite
Our MickeyBloggers Greg and Elyssa attended Disneyland After Dark Throwback Nite yesterday evening and all we can say is WOW! There were characters galore at this awesome After Dark soiree and we are so excited to bring you this first look at some of the familiar Disney friends we had a chance to mingle with.
Check out our Disneyland After Dark Throwback Nite fun below:
These two are here to remind us that “There’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day!”
That’s right! It’s none other than John (Father) and Sarah (Mother) from Carousel of Progress.
This duo could be found making the rounds in Tomorrowland for Throwback Nite.
There were more than happy to stop and pose for photos!
Above you can see the cute little meet and greet area set up for them underneath a Carousel of Progress sign!
Speaking of Tomorrowland, we have another famous character from Tomorrowland Disney lore.
It’s none other than Tom Morrow!
For that unfamiliar, Tom is connected to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. On the ride, you’ll hear someone come over the tannoy and say “Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow!”
We love this interpretation of him as a scientist! Here he is posing with Greg! Throwback Nite had so many characters out and about. It was amazing!
He’s also surrounded by props that look like they’re straight out of a 1970s Sci-fi film and we are here for it!
Next up on our character tour of Disneyland After Dark Throwback Nite behind for a little bit of classic villainy.
It’s over to Fantasyland where a very stern-looking Lady Tremaine is holding court.
You’ll know here is the evil stepmother from Cinderella.
Trust us when we say that she is every bit as formidable in person!
Speaking of Cinderella, Greg and Elyssa had a chance to step into a fairy tale as Prince Charming and Cinderella made the rounds in Fantasyland.
Disneyland After Dark Throwback Nite without one of the original Disney Princesses.
Both Cinderella and Prince Charming look absolutely regal in their formal attire.
One of their footmen was even on hand with the famous glass slipper.
We’re not done with Cinderella characters yet.
It’s Perla and Suzy.
We suspect that these two cute critters helped Cinderella get ready before she made her grand Throwback Nite appearance.
Here they are with Fairy Godmother!
We’re painting the roses red with this next Throwback Night character.
Poor Cinderella. Here she is above getting hassled by Anastasia!
Though we do feel sorry for our princess-in-the-making, this moment did make for an awesome Throwback Nite photo op!
Now its time to switch gears and step into another Fairy Tale.
It’s nefarious Alice in Wonderland baddie, the Queen of Hearts.
She’s giving us a slightly sinister wave.
As you can see from the image above we met the Queen of Hearts in front of “it’s a small world.”
Next up is another character for Alice in Wonderland.
It is the White Rabbit.
He may be late for a very important date but he did take time to mingle with guests including Greg.
He’s striking an adorable pose.
We love all of the incredible characters that turned up for Disneyland After Dark Throwback Nite
Next up is one of our favorite classic Disney characters.
It’s adorable Dumbo!
Dumbo’s details are perfect right down to the feather in his trunk.
We’ve got another rare character sighting during Throwback Nite!
This elegant Ostrich is Madamoiselle Upanova.
You’ll know her from Fantasia.
She gave us her best ballet poses.
Madamoiselle Upanova isn’t the only character from Fantasia that came out to say hello.
It’s Hyacinth Hippo.
She is also a beautiful ballet dancer from Fantasia.
Hyacinth is one of my favorite classic Disney characters. It was so nice to see her out and about and mingling with the crowds.
Here she is giving us an adorable pirouette.
Since Sleeping Beauty Castle is Disneyland’s iconic landmark, it’s not surprising that many of the characters from the film turned up for Disneyland After Dark Throwback Nite.
Maleficent looks downright spooky with her staff.
We also had a chance to meet Flora, Fauna and Merryweather.
You’ll also notice Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip!
You can find more details on this and other Disneyland After Dark events here.
