REVIEW: Narcoossee’s Has Reopened in Disney World. Should You Visit?
One of Disney World’s most upscale restaurants recently reopened — and MickeyBlog was there!
Narcoossee’s is located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, boasting gorgeous waterfront views and innovative seafood dishes, and it was recently reimagined with refreshed colors and decor. The restaurant finally reopened on April 1st, 2023, and we’re here with a FULL review!
Reimagined Interior
In case you were curious, Narcoossee’s is named after a community in Osceola County, Florida, which is also one of the counties in which Disney World is located.

Narcoossee’s closed on June 18th, 2022 for a huge transformation, with the biggest part of the renovations being the decor, which has been upgraded to have a more modern maritime feel, with rich wood and shades of blue and aqua.
The chandeliers show that touch of Grand Floridian elegance, while the shutters lend a more coastal vibe.
Seating options include tables and chairs…
…as well as booths, and there is limited bar seating as well.
And don’t forget to check out those waterfront views! Narcoossee’s is only a short Monorail ride from Magic Kingdom, which makes it fairly easy to visit.
Now let’s check out the menu.
Menu
Narcoosee’s serves dinner from 5PM to 9:30PM and the menu is a la carte. No prix fixe menu items here!
Select from starters like Shrimp and Grits, Brisket and Ricotta Tortelloni, and more. Soup and salad options include Lobster Bisque, Romaine and Hearts of Palm, and Blueberry and Barrel Aged Feta Salad.
Choose from eight different entrees ranging in price from $34 to $87.
Kids’ menu items are also available.
A number of specialty cocktails are available, as well as zero-proof cocktails, beer, and other drinks.
Now it’s time to dig in!
Eats
To start, we were served a loaf of sourdough bread with sea salt butter. The loaf was perfectly crusty and a great match with the tangy butter!
We actually enjoyed it more than the individual rolls Narcoossee’s used to serve in the past.
For appetizers, we started with the Ocean-inspired Charcuterie Board, served with Ahi Tuna Pastrami, Charred Octopus, and Lobster Sausage for $28.
We loved the coastal theme of this charcuterie board, and the octopus sausage in particular was very well-seasoned and flavorful!
We also tried the new Brisket and Ricotta Tortelloni, which came with Parsnip, Brown Butter, and Sultana Raisins for $16.
This was a new dish that was creamy and delicate, with lots of flavors and great portion size as a starter.
From the soups and salads menu, we ordered the Romaine and Hearts of Palm, made with Pecorino Toscano, Cured Egg Yolk, Black Garlic Feuilles de Brick, and Fried Caper Vinaigrette for $16.
This salad was perfectly dressed and the shaved parmesan cheese added a nice flavor and texture.
We also tried the Blueberry and Barrel Aged Feta Salad, which comes with Tiny Lettuces, Pistachio, Cornbread Cracker, and Lemon Curd Dressing for $15.
This was another winner! Light, fresh, and flavorful.
For our entrees, we ordered the 12-oz Prime New York Strip Steak, which comes with Potato Mash, Roasted Rainbow Vegetables, and Red Wine Demi-Glace for $59.

Our steak was perfect, and although it was a more classic choice, it did not disappoint. It was so tender that we could have used a plastic knife to cut it!
We also ordered the Plancha-Seared Scallops & Parisian Gnocchi, which came with English Peas, Tasso Ham, and Truffled Meyer Lemon Cream for $52.

The scallops were seared perfectly and the gnocchi underneath was light and pillowy.
Next up was the Surf & Turf, served with a 7 oz. Filet Mignon, Butter Poached Lobster Tail, Potato Mash, Roasted Rainbow Vegetables, and Red Wine Demi-Glace for $87.

This dish was cooked to perfection. There’s nothing more to say other than it was absolutely worth $87.
And the last of our entrees was the Gulf Shrimp Bucatini, which came with House-made Bucatini Pasta, Roasted Tomatoes, Savoy Spinach, Parsley, and Basil Pistou for $42.

The shrimp and bucatini were perfectly matched with the spinach and tomatoes, which created a light tomato broth.
For dessert, we tried the Hazelnut-Chocolate Bar, made with Chocolate Sponge, Cassis, and Ganache for $14.

It’s also plant-based, and it was DELISH!
The Almond-crusted Cheesecake comes with Lambert Cherry Sauce and Chantilly for $16.

This is their returning signature dessert and we were glad to order it again! It was sheer perfection, as always, with a light almond taste paired with the smooth cheesecake and crunchy almonds.
The Pineapple Bavarois was made with Shortbread and Blackberry-Buttermilk Ice Cream for $15.

It was refreshing and sweet, and we really enjoyed it.
And finally, the Berry Pavlova was made with Yuzu Cremeux and Anglaise for $14.

The pavlova was delicious with a perfect meringue.
Now let’s wash down our meal with a new drink.
Drinks
There is a variety of beer, cocktails, zero-proof cocktails, and wine to choose from, and we selected the new White Sangria, made with Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, Ketel One Cucumber and Mint Botanical, Agave, and Strawberry for $15.
This was a new drink on the menu and we thought it was delicious.
So should you visit Narcoossee’s?
Our Thoughts
In our experience, the reopening of Narcoossee’s was flawless. We loved the updated interior and more modern design choices.
Being in the Grand Floridian, Narcoossee’s location is great for Grand Floridian guests as well as visitors, especially with its close proximity to Magic Kingdom.
We wanted to note that our server was awesome. She gave great recommendations and was extremely kind and helpful. If your experience is anything like ours, you won’t be disappointed by the service here!
Pastry Chef Kristine also stopped by our table, which we really appreciated!
Let’s go over the pros and cons.
Pros:
- Beautiful new decor
- Delicious menu with lots of options
- Luxurious, waterfront dining
- Close location to Magic Kingdom
Cons:
- There’s a dress code
- The menu can be pricey
- Not great for young families
- Dinner hours only
If you’re into luxury dining in Disney World, Narcoossee’s is a great option. Just keep in mind that this setting may not be ideal for young kiddos, and you must adhere to the dress code in order to visit. But if you want to enjoy some tasty land and sea dishes, this is the spot!
