Star Wars Celebration is Heading To Japan In 2025
While Star Wars fans are still floating on air following the slew of announcements at Star Wars Celebration 2023, Lucasfilm is already planning its next great gathering.
At the closing ceremony of this year’s celebration, the company announced that the next Star Wars Celebration would be held in Japan.
A Return to Japan
That’s right, Star Wars Celebration will be returning to Japan for the first time since 2008.
Held at the Makurhari Messe, the next Star Wars Celebration will take place April 18-20 in 2025.
While fans are obviously excited about the announcement, the choice of Japan was a surprise to some.
Some fans had expected Orlando, Florida to be announced as the next destination. While that was not meant to be, excitement has remained high.
Star Wars Celebration 2023
Either way, Star Wars Celebration 2025 will have a tough time topping this year’s event.
During the London Star Wars gathering last week, Lucasfilm announced the creation of three new Star Wars feature films, released an Ahsoka trailer, and a sneak peek at the upcoming Skeleton Crew show.
Other announcements included news that Return of the Jedi would return to theaters, Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi would receive a second season and Star Wars: The Bad Batch will conclude with a third season in 2024. All in all, it was an amazing event for Star Wars fans young and old.
