David Lowery Will Direct an Episode of ‘Skeleton Crew’
The crew behind Disney’s upcoming Star Wars series Skeleton Crew is turning into a real who’s-who of Hollywood directors.
Earlier this month, we reported that “Everything Everywhere All at Once” filmmakers The Daniels had directed an episode of the upcoming show. This news left many wondering if the Skeleton Crew had managed to bring in any other big names.
What We Know
Now comes news that “Green Knight” filmmaker David Lowery is also among those to tackle a Star Wars episode.
Lowery is also know for his work on Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Pete’s Dragon, and A Ghost Story.
While filming on Skeleton Crew concluded last year, news about the series’ directors is just coming out now.
Skeleton Crew will star Jude Law, and center on a group of kids lost in the galaxy, trying to find their way home.
Set in the New Republic era of Star Wars, the show was created by Jon Watts and executive produced by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
Recently, Dave Filoni has teased that Skeleton Crew could intersect with The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, and the upcoming Ahsoka.
More News On the Horizon
News of Lowery’s work on Skeleton Crew has come out one week ahead of Star Wars Celebration. At the London gathering, Disney is expected to release more information about the future of Star Wars, including the next feature film.
