Cold Temps Bring Out Hot Cocoa in Disney World
When you think Disney World, you probably think warm and sunny weather, right? Well, even Disney World is not immune to some cold or rainy weather, folks!
Hurricanes can affect Disney World (it is Florida, after all) and we even see some colder weather in the winter. Usually things are pretty warm by this time of year though.
But, recent mornings have been chilly in the parks! And, it looks like Disney is trying to offer guests a tasty way to warm up.
Hot Chocolate for Sale
We saw hot cocoa being sold around the Disney World parks today!
You might be thinking “what’s the big deal?” Well, it’s mid-March, so hot chocolate is not really a common menu item during this time of year. We typically see some pretty warm weather, especially since it’s spring break season!
But, it was 49 degrees when we got to Magic Kingdom this morning — YIKES! That might seem decent if you’re not from Florida, but that’s basically freezing down in Disney World.
We found this hot cocoa over at Cool Ship in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland for $3.75. Cast Members told us that it can be found at several locations throughout the parks today.
And, you might need it, because even at 11AM it was still only around 57 degrees outside. It should warm up to around 69 degrees later in the day, though.
This is why layers are essential when planning on what to wear to the parks! You don’t want to be stuck in long pants and a sweater when those temps warm up in the afternoon, but you also don’t want to be freezing in the morning wearing shorts and a tank top.
If you’re concerned about the colder weather, don’t worry — it will warm up more and more as the week goes on. Tuesday has a high of 79 degrees, Wednesday’s is 83 degrees, Thursday’s is 85 degrees, Friday’s is 89 degrees, and by Saturday, we’ll be seeing highs in the 90s.
