Disney’s New Animated Series “Kiff” Is Pure Fun
The latest hit Disney Animated show Kiff is now airing on Disney Channel and Disney XD!

From creators and executive producers Lucy Heavens and Nic Smal, the new series follows the adventures of an optimistic squirrel Kiff and her chill bunny bestie Barry, as they navigate life in Table Town.

Set in an world where animals and magical creatures tackle life together, the show explores Kiff and Barry’s experiences with school, relationships, and the strange town in which they live.
Inspired Their Childhood
Kiff was inspired by the people and places that Heavens and Smal knew when growing up in Cape Town, South Africa.

When discussing the series Smal noted how the duo took inspiration from Cape Town, South Africa.
“In terms of visual style, we wanted to reference Cape Town, where we’re from, along with its flora and fauna, its warm colors and unique geography. Because our hometown is at the foot of a mountain, everywhere has a mountainous backdrop — just like Table Town!”

In the end though, Smal and Heavens simply wanted to create a fun setting for their series.
“There aren’t really any opportunities to work on this kind of comedy in South Africa (as yet!), so we just decided to create a series that would be the most free, fun world for us to sink our teeth into in terms of story and comedy — and just enjoy that process.” Smal recalled.
How To Watch Kiff
The perfect show for the young, or the young at heart, Kiff airs on Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. ET on both Disney Channel and Disney XD.
