Soarin’ Over California
Does anyone else want to sign a petition to bring back the original experience for good? Just kidding, but I know I’m not the only one who prefers the original!

Which brings an interesting question to mind. Would you rather see the same rides and attractions at both Disneyland and Disney World, or do you prefer different experiences at each Resort?
I, for one, am for the latter. If you’re a die-hard Disney fan, chances are you’ll eventually visit Disney’s East and West Coast Parks.

That being said, it’s not very enticing to experience a copycat version of something else. Just my opinion, but I digress.
Disneyland Resort originally featured Soarin’ Over California in Disney California Adventure. Currently, (excluding its limited-time return), both Disneyland and Disney World offer Soarin’ Around the World.

But, wouldn’t it make sense to keep Soarin’ Over California in Southern California’s Disney Theme Parks permanently? Though opinions differ, those who’ve experienced it can agree on one thing.
Soarin’ Over California vs. Soarin’ Around the World
The original offers a much more authentic experience, taking Guests on a flight through real, and may I say breathtaking scenery. Comparatively, Soarin’ Around the World incorporates CGI in the form of landmarks and animals.

Unfortunately, these “fake” additions are extremely obvious onboard the attraction, taking away from the experience. All this to say, if you’re a fan of the original attraction, make sure you get down to Califonia Adventure and experience it!
Return To Disney California Adventure
Soarin’ Over California returned as part of the 2023 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. It will be available from March 3 to April 25.

For those unaware, the journey takes you through iconic, California locations. Included are San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs, San Diego, Malibu, and Los Angeles.
Upon its conclusion, Tinkerbell welcomes you home to The Happiest Place on Earth. Head over to Disneyland before April 25, so you can experience Soarin’ Over California while it lasts at Disney California Adventure!
