Original Soarin’ Over California Ride Returning To Disney California Adventure!
Ok, this is extremely exciting news for fans of the Disneyland Resort. The original Soarin’ Over California ride is returning to Disney California Adventure for a limited time!

Those that were lucky enough to experience the first rendition of the attraction, since replaced by Soarin’ Around the World, understand why this is big news. Like all Disney experiences that end up going away or being replaced, there is something special about the originals.

I, personally, prefer the original attraction! Highlighting fabulous landmarks scattered across California, it features some beautiful spots…and smells!
I distinctly remember traveling through orange groves and breathing in the fruity scent. One of my favorite scenes sweeps you across a rushing river filled with white water rapids.

The smell of the woods transported you to the wilderness as cool breezes blew across your face. I distinctly remember the catchy soundtrack from one particular portion, in which people are riding on horseback through the mountains and desert below.
As a native Californian, seeing iconic locations from our state was an emotional experience. The ride always brought a tear to my eye upon its conclusion at the castle, filling me with wonder and appreciation!

If any of this sounds appealing to you, or you know the ride and have experienced it before, you will be pleased to hear about its epic return! Disney Parks Blog recently released information about the Lunar New Year Celebration and Food & Wine Festival returning in 2023.
The Festival takes place from March 3 to April 25 at Disney California Adventure Park. During that time, the ride will return for a limited run!

Guests will be able to celebrate the beauty of the Golden State in all its glory, from the Golden Gate bridge to the waves of Malibu. If you’ve never experienced it before, I highly recommend it!
