Medical Emergency on the Disney Wonder Changes Itinerary
Safety is paramount both on land and at sea for The Walt Disney Company. A medical emergency on the Disney Wonder is changing the ship’s itinerary slightly. A guest aboard the ship alerted the MickeyBlog team to this change earlier today.
Currently, guests aboard the Disney Wonder are going full steam ahead to San Diego to drop off someone having a medical emergency. We sincerely hope this guest gets the treatment they need and is well again soon.
Instead of a Day at Sea aboard the Wonder, the ship is returning to port to drop off the guest, then will head back out to sea until tomorrow, their debarkation day.
This change means the shops aboard the ship will not be open as long as they normally are, but with the medical emergency aboard, we’re sure guests will understand.
As a travel agent, I always strongly recommend guests invest in the Disney Cruise Line’s Vacation Protection Plan. You just never know what’s going to happen… the ship doesn’t wait for delayed flights and when you have an emergency, you’ll thank yourself for the peace of mind.
