Record Highs Are in the Forecast for Walt Disney World This Week

If you plan on visiting Walt Disney World, or Central Orlando, this week, make sure you are ready for the heat.

Orlando will be heating up on Wednesday where temperatures will be in the high 80s. While record highs are certainly in the forecast, we could actually see three daily records fall in a row. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will all be in the upper 80s or lower 90s.

Three Straight Record Breaking Days?

The record high for February 22 was set in 2003 when the temperature reached 88 degrees. This year’s forecast calls for 89!

Likewise, Thursday and Friday’s respective highs of 98 (2013) and 90 degrees (2003) could be topped this week.

If you are planning on visiting the Walt Disney World theme parks this week, be prepared for plenty of sunshine. In addition to high temperatures, the forecast calls for dry skies.

For those of us suffering through the snow and freezing temperatures in the northern United States, this sounds like a dream come true!

On the plus side, visitors to Walt Disney World won’t have to worry about the water parks closing due to cold temperatures!

February 23rd to 26th is also the runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, and runDisney warned runners about the heat. They included flag guidelines to signify the conditions, ranging from good to extreme.
