BREAKING: Standby Line to Replace Virtual Queue at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disneyland
There are now two ways to ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and big things are happening with one location!
There’s one location in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and a new location that just opened on January 27th in Disneyland Park, so you can now ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway on either coast in the U.S. The ride debuted in Disneyland with a virtual queue less than a month ago, and now that’s already changing!
NEW Standby Queue
As reported by Scott Gustin on Twitter, Disneyland will suspend the virtual queue currently used for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and debut a standby queue on February 22nd, 2023.
Individual Lightning Lanes, however, will still be available for purchase.

Considering WEBSLINGERS opened in 2021 in Disney California Adventure with a virtual queue lasting several months, this is somewhat surprising!
Disneyland’s version of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is located in Mickey’s Toontown, which officially reopens on March 19th.
Note that Disney could choose to return the ride to a virtual queue at any time, but you should be able to check what option is available on the day in the Disneyland app. As expected, today it says “use virtual queue.”
