Epcot ‘World Celebration’ Construction Update 2/20/23
We’ve got another construction update for you, this time from Epcot! Today, we got some great views of the currently under-construction ‘World Celebration’ area of Epcot.
The current construction area will be home to both Dreamer’s Point and Moana Journey of Water when complete.
World Celebration
Beginning with the World Celebration area that will sit in front of Connections and Creations, the constriction work here is still in its early stages.
While concrete bases poured and several wooden uprights in place, it looks to us as though only basic infrastructure has been laid thus far.
The wooden framework of a small structure is still being constructed with the help of large cranes and jig lifts (pictured above).
Journey of Water
The Moana Journey of Water area appears to be progressing much more quickly!

The attraction- opening later this year- has received its water filtration and pump system, several pathways are already poured and complete, and we’ve even seen some painting and set decorating happening too!
While the under-construction World Celebration area of Epcot still has a long way to go before its completion, we really cannot wait to see what is revealed when the walls do come down!
