Muppets Mayhem Gets a Release Window
It’s time to play the music, it’s time to light the lights, there is new Muppet news today, and it is sure to delight!
Last March, Disney announced that a brand new series featuring the Muppets titled Muppets Mayhem would be coming to Disney +. Now, we may finally have an answer to when the show will debut.
What We Know About Muppets Mayhem
While we don’t know a ton about Muppet Mayhem, what we do know is that the show will star the Muppets’ house band, The Electric Mayhem. The groovy rock band featuring Dr. Teeth, Floyd Pepper, Janice, Zoot and of course Animal, has been delighting Muppet fans since the first movie.
Now however, the band will have to deal with the challenges of an ever-changing music scene, as they attempt to record their first studio album.
In addition to the Muppet favorites, the show will star Lully Singh, Tahj Mowry, Saara Chaudry and Anders Home.
The show was created by Adam F. Goldberg, Bill Barretta and Jeff Yorkes. Goldberg is perhaps best known for his work creating the ABC sitcom The Goldbergs, while Beretta is a long-time puppeteer with the Jim Henson Company.
When Will The Show Stream?
While Disney has yet to officially announce a streaming date for Muppets Mayhem, Goldberg recently responded to a fan’s tweet about loving his work by saying, “Thank you! Muppets Mayhem will be out early May. Just finished the finale! So proud of this show.”
As a huge Muppets fan, I know that I can’t wait for Muppet Mayhem to get here. It has been too long since we had original Muppet content!
