New Strawberry Red Velvet Whoopie Pie is a Romantic Sweet Treat
Ooh you just can’t go wrong with the combination of strawberries and chocolate! Sweet and fruity, tart and tasty, with the most romantic of vibes that fit so beautifully into a February afternoon like this one.
Our MickeyBlog reporters were out enjoying a sunshine-filled day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, where an enticing new menu item caught our eye over at one of our favorite park bakeries. It’s the Strawberry Red Velvet Whoopie Pie!

It’d be rude not to bring you along for the experience, so join us as we place our order and tuck into this sweet, seasonal treat!
Costing $4.99, this treat is the latest “whoopie pie” creation at the Trolley Car Cafe, the Starbucks bakery location at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Holiday Red Velvet Whoopie Pie was an excellent pick on the menu here during the festive season, but this Valentine’s Day edition adds the sweet taste of strawberry to the mix, and we couldn’t be more excited to take a bite!
Doesn’t it look tasty?
Let’s take it outside to enjoy it properly by Echo Lake!
Here she is: the Strawberry Red Velvet Whoopie Pie in all her glory. This delicious twist-on-a-cupcake treat features two slices of red velvet cake, sandwiched together with a thick layer of cream cheese frosting, topped with strawberry buttercream and a strawberry garnish.
It’s one of the most red and pink desserts we’ve seen – perfect for Valentine’s season indeed!
Before we take a bite, we have to also comment on the cute heart-shaped sprinkles that coat the frosting, and also the delicate sprinkle of glitter you can see shimmering off the top of the strawberry.
So cute!
It was our MickeyBlogger Kayla who tried this out for us today, and she agreed it was a super cute and romantic dessert to enjoy for Valentine’s Day.
It’s also very ‘Instagrammable’, which certainly helps!
While the cake itself is not as moist as it may look, Kayla explained that the cream cheese icing was rich and smooth, which helped the flavor shine through and make the dessert a rather luxurious treat.
On top, the strawberry cream is tart and flavorful, with the sprinkles adding a subtle bit of texture to the cake, too.
Overall, it’s cute, it’s pretty, and we’d all agree it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Another great tip Kayla mentioned is that this Whoopie Pie makes a great, smaller alternative to the larger Whoopie Pie offering also available at Trolley Car Café.
If you’re sharing, we’d suggest going for that one instead!
This cake has been just one of a string of beautiful Valentine’s Day offerings we have enjoyed at Walt Disney World so far this month.
