NEW Evolutionary Mickey and Minnie Mouse Sketchbook Ornaments Arrive for Disney100!
Mickey Mouse is taking centerstage in Walt Disney World’s newest line of merchandise, this time in ornament form! Three brand-new Mickey-inspired ornaments debuted today in Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Magic Kingdom.
The four ornaments depict Mickey in different phases of his nearly 100-years long evolution.
The first ornament was inspired by the 1929 ‘Silly Symphonies’ Mickey. It features Mickey in his late 1920’s animation style, and is complete with a Disney100 tag to commemorate the anniversary.
The next ornament stars Mickey’s leading lady. This ornament is unique because it features a sculpted Minnie both in her current and original animation styles!
The fourth and final ornament is an ode to the 1940’s ‘Sorcerers Apprentice’ iteration of Mickey.
For me (and probably most WDW fans), this ornament also evokes memories of the epic debut of Fantasmic! in the 1990’s.
Each of these ornaments capture motion and animation in such a lifelike way, you can’t possibly go wrong!
Will you be picking up one of these new ornaments? Leave a comment and let me know!
