FIRST LOOK at 2023 EPCOT Festival of the Arts Decor
Preparations are underway for EPCOT’s next festival!
The 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts opens on January 13th, 2023 and our MickeyBlogger visited EPCOT to see whether any new festival decor was placed overnight. Let’s check it out!
Festival of the Arts Signs
First, we noticed a colorful Festival of the Arts sign wrapped around a pillar near the entrance of EPCOT.
And inside EPCOT, we found a Festival of the Arts banner!
And that’s not it for Festival of the Arts decor.
Odyssey Center Decals
The Odyssey Center has been adorned with rainbow decals, with one side of the building featuring a traditional rainbow…
…while the other side has a bit of a rainbow swirl.
During the festival, the Odyssey Center will serve as home to a new booth known as Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey: Art, Food and Little Sparks of Magic. This spot will offer beer, hard cider, and a variety of treats — including the returning Figment Popcorn Bucket.
Sorcerer Mickey Mural
Over by the fountain in the Imagination Pavilion, some new artwork has appeared. Can you see it in the photo below?
It’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice scene from Fantasia, featuring Sorcerer Mickey and one of his enchanted brooms!
That’s not it for artwork in EPCOT.
Chalk Full of Character
The scavenger hunt known as “Chalk Full of Character” features a variety of character decals hidden around EPCOT, and some of them have already appeared! This character spotted in the Land Pavilion is Splat from Disney’s most recent film, Strange World.
Over in the Mexico Pavilion, you can see Dante from Coco in his spirit form…
…and in his regular form of a Xoloitzcuintle dog!
Head to the Norway Pavilion to see Bruni from Frozen 2 hanging out near Kringla Bakeri og Cafe.
Nearby, look up to see the Snowgies from Frozen Fever and Frozen 2.
In the China Pavilion, you can find Mushu from Mulan.
Head over to the Germany Pavilion to see Pascal…
…and Spike the Bee, who often appears in EPCOT festivals.
In the Italy Pavilion, you may spot Luca and Alberto (and Machiavelli the cat) from Luca…
…and Jiminy Cricket from Pinocchio!
And in the France Pavilion, three Aristocats (Toulouse, Berlioz, and Marie) can be seen strolling along.
We may be a few days away from the festival but there’s still more to see!
Chalk Art
And finally, we also found an artist working on chalk art! Throughout the Festival of the Arts, artists visit to create incredible pieces of chalk art, and you can even watch them bring their artwork to life.
The Festival of the Arts lasts from January 13th to February 20th, 2023. Keep following MickeyBlog for more Festival of the Arts news — and don’t forget to join us reporting from the parks on Friday!
