SPOILER: MickeyBlog Tries Out the NEW DuckTales World Showcase Adventure
Today marks the debut of the NEW DuckTales World Showcase Adventure and our MickeyBlogger Jessica is working her way around the World Showcase today trying out all of the different missions included in this updated new experience.
SPOILER ALERT: If you want to be totally surprised when taking part in the missions of the DuckTales World Showcase Adventure then you may not want to read further. We’ll be taking you through each of the clues!
As we previously mentioned here at MickeyBlog, the DuckTales World Showcase Adventure scavenger hunt can be accessed via the Play Disney Parks app so you’ll want to make sure that you have the app downloaded on your phone in advance.
When you kick off the scavenger hunt, you’ll have the option of choosing the country that you want to start in.
We’re kicking off our DuckTales World Showcase Adventure in Mexico.
Each country has a series of mini missions you need to complete.
We love the user interface for the scavenger hunts. Its very colorful and easy to follow.
Scrooge McDuck kicked things off by direct us to our first clue.
Here’s a video we took of the first clue!
It’s time to head inside the pyramid at the Mexico Pavilion.
The first clue takes us to the bustling marketplace.
We venture into one of the shops for our first clue.
The Play Disney Parks app is great at sharing visual cues for the DuckTales World Showcase Adventure to give players a helping hand!
Now, if you ever did the previous Phineas and Ferb Scavenger Hunts you may notice that some of these locations look oddly similar.
However the clues and overall experience is different,
You’ll want to head into the souvenir shop featuring musical instruments inside the pavilion for your first clue!
This brings us to our first interactive display. Its these moments that make the scavenger hunts at Disney truly magical!
From there it’s off to unravel further clues!
We follow the clues which bring us to this fountain.
It has pride-of-place in the town square!
Next is a quick search of the balconies for another animatronic surprise!
With that covered, it’s time to go on the hunt for a feathered friend.
You’ll definitely meet some delightful friends during DuckTales World Showcase Adventure.
Case in point is this helpful parrot!
It’s now time for us to be on the lookout for a marionette with a message!
Throughout your mission, you will need to answer various questions to progress!
That means you’ll need to pay attention.
Then its time to head upstairs!
We need to walk up to the balcony for our next clue.
Be on the lookout for the pinatas!
You’ll trigger a VERY interesting chain of events!
This is definitely our favorite part of the mission.
And with that, we’ve done it!
We successfully located the lava idol!
There’s a celebratory moment as you complete each mission!
Guests are also given a virtual badge for your efforts.
We had so much fun and earned the Idol Raider achievement!
We decided that we would move on to the next mission.
This one bring us to Norway.
It wouldn’t be a Nordic quest without Trolls.
Our first step takes us to the shop windows of the Norway Pavilion!
Be on the lookout for this fella! Also be mindful of what he’s carrying!
Again, we captured a quick video of this interactive moment!
Well, that was definitely a surprise!
Our next clue has us chasing waterfalls!
With the push of a button…
A sword reveals itself!
For there we need to head to the Fjording Store!
Found it!
Our next mission is to head inside and speak to a cast member who has a special clue for us!
We got a souvenir during our visit.
Here’s a look at both the front and back images!
Our Mission also included some Runic activity. Just check out this video:
We are another mission down.
Next it’s over to the China Pavilion.
The quest there is called “The Curse of the Lucky Monkey.”
This is such a beautiful place to go hunting for clues.
Our adventure takes us to the temple.
We are looking for a special path that might have a surprise or two.
The clues really walk you through the process including providing arrows of where you need to look!
Be on the lookout for a lamppost!
Its part of a very important riddle that you’ll need to solve.
We may have just found our monkey!
Here’s a closer look at the jade artefact we’ve been looking for!
With the Monkey found, its time for our next mission at the China Pavilion- Uncrashable!
Our next adventure at the China Pavilion has us looking for the local hotel.
Though it took us a bit of time, this red door is marked with a hotel sign!
It’s time for us to pay closer attention to the sign!
Its up to us to save the day by answering the following question:
A quick pull on the door handle tells of everything we need to know.
With that Mission completed its time to move on!
This next step is called “A Zodiaccident Waiting to Happen.”
We need to locate a rooster!
It leads us to a window display.
We’re on the hunt for a Zodiac display.
You need to get right up to the window to see it!
Found it!
Now we can answer the clues!
The final Mission in China is called “What the Cricket Knew.”
We are asked to head towards the street of Good Fortune!
We are in search of a cage display in a shop window!
I think its time to take a closer look at what’s inside the cage!
What could it be!?
The prompts asks us what’s inside.
Here’s a video we took that may help us with this clue.
It’s time to contact the cricket:
Mystery solved.
We’re having so much fun let’s continue.
Where shall we go next?
How about a visit to the Germany Pavilion!
Our first mission takes us to the Volkskunst shop!
Again, the scavenger hunt has us peering through shop windows!
A quick look at the stunning stained glass window and we have our answer!
Then it is over to another storefront!
The cuckoo-clock style window has a very special surprise for us!
And mission solved.
That takes us to Mission: Tomorrow’s Never Yesterday!
During this jaunt, we’re asked to take a closer look at the miniature train set.
Once we’ve found the diorama, it’s time to answer a few important questions!
We’re in search of the clock tower!
In this video, we may see the answers we’ve been looking for!
That’s another mission SOLVED!
Next, things start to get a little cuckoo on the DuckTales World Showcase Adventure!
Its time to head to the Volkskunst.
Inside the shop are an array of authentic cuckoo clocks!
But one clock in particular stands out!
We have to disable the “temporal anomaly.”
Here’s a video we took of the curious clock!
There’s one very important detail we need to pay attention to.
And solved!
This next mission seems particularly apt for this time of year!
Christmas don’t be late!
Our journey takes us to another shop- Weihnachts Ecke!
We need to locate the nutcracker.
The Play Disney Parks app gives us an important visual clue!
I think we have enough to solve this riddle. Check out our video!
We never noticed the nutcrackers here before!
Ooh the one in the center has a secret!
That means we can solve our last riddle!
Japan is the next stop on our around the world adventures!
It looks like we’re on the hunt for an ancient scroll.
One of the Mission Requests is titled “Big in Japan.”
It takes us to the Mitsukoshi Store!
Inside, we need to be on the lookout for a series of photos!
There’s one in particular that we need to be mindful of!
If we take a closer look at the caption, we may be able to solve this riddle!
Then things go a little bit Sci-fi on us!
This reveal is one of my favorites so I don’t want to give too much away!
For “Two Webbys Aren’t Better Than One.” we in search of the Zen Rock Garden!
We need to take a closer look at the sign posted at the rock garden.
Read carefully and you’ll get the answer to your clue!
Now it’s time for us to summon the power of the earth!

We find some writing on one of the rocks that may help us in our quest!
Its safe to say that the person who titled the next mission is a David Lynch fan!
This time we’re seeking out a lantern.
Again we need to pay close attention to a sign posted…
We’re sharing what happens in our video below.
Our last mission in Japan is titled “The Dangers of Aquatic Robotics.”
It’s time to pay a visit to the koi pond!
We’re once again asked to inspect a sign at this location.
Be particularly mindful of the caption!
Are we ready to unleash the elemental powers of nature?
The answer is a resounding YES!
That is another country down!
We decided to continue our adventures in France!
Our first sub-quest is called “Prints of Thieves.”
To get started we’re asked to find the wine shop!
We need to take a peek inside the window to solve a clue.
There’s a light blue book on the bottom shelf that we are being asked to take a look at!
Let’s get a bit closer…
We’ve spotted the book!
To solve the mystery when need to input the correct title of the book:
It reveals a very special surprise!
Mission accomplished!
That takes us to “Between a Rock and Some More Rocks!”
We’re on the hunt for an antique camera!
I think we found it.
Our next step is to stand behind the camera to take a closer look at the suitcases!
Your inspection should leave you to solve this exciting case!
There’s also a mission called “Mixed Signals!”
We’re asked to find a special door at the Pavilion!
Here are a few additional clues on how to find it.
The next step asks us to take a peek through the window!
And that’s our mission finished!
The entire mission in one country takes about 30 minutes to solve.
Lastly it’s time for a visit to the United Kingdom Pavilion.
This is the last country on our list.
The mission is called “The Magic Mulligan of Moorshire.”
“Pre-Tee Time Tea Time” has us seeking out the tea shop!
We need to pop inside and talk to an employee.
The give us a special treat and it helps us solve our next clue!
That’s one mission down!
Next, it’s the trapped triplet.
Behind the tea shop we’re looking for a pale green door!
This door has us counting door knobs (or the lack thereof.)
Haha! That’s a pretty fabulous clue!
Be sure to pay attention to the lantern above the door!
We head into the London back alley’s for our first clue.
But don’t worry, the Play Disney Parks app is great at providing a bit of help!
Again, our favorite feathered friends have us peering through windows!
What you find might surprise you!
It looks like we successfully sabotaged!
Last mission in the UK and our last Pavilion of the day – Winner Takes it All!
We head the the Sportsman Shoppe!
We’re told to be the lookout for a Sportsman’s Shoppe.
The plaque is on the inside of the shop.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s printed at the top of the plaque.
We think we might be ready to solve this mission!
The plaque reveals a clue!
We enter that into the app and there’s our next mission solved!
Though it isn’t necessary to complete all of the missions there is a special finale at the end!
It’s a nice way to tie together the entire experience.
You are able to do this over subsequent missions!
