Hurry! Disney World Park Reservations Replensihed Several Days in Decemer and Into January
Were you thinking of a last-minute, holiday-time visit to Walt Disney World this year or just after the New Year but weren’t able to get your desired park reservations? You are in luck! Disney has just replenished park reservations for several dates beginning December 20, 2022, all the way into January 2023.
Up until today, park reservations were starting to fill up for most parks and for most days all the way through early January. However, with today’s update, that has changed.
Let’s take a closer look at what is available as I write this at 5:00 pm EST on Friday, December 16. The current park reservation availability is for guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or who have purchased tickets separately.
Current Disney World Park Reservation Availability for December 2022
For the remainder of December 2022, Walt Disney World park reservations are as follows:
- December 17 and 18: All parks available except the Magic Kingdom
- December 19: Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT available
- December 20: ALL parks available
- December 21: All parks available except the Magic Kingdom
- December 22 to 30: ALL parks available
- December 31: All parks available except EPCOT
Park Availability for January 2023
And, if you were hoping to go to any of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks in January 2023 but reservations were blacked out, you are definitely in luck! All four parks are now completely open every day in January 2023.

How Much Longer Will Park Reservations be Required?
As a Travel Curator specializing in Disney, a question I hear almost every day is, “Are park reservations going to be required forever?” And, the honest answer is: No one knows!
When Bob Chapek was at the helm, he continued to say that he didn’t see them going away at any time.
However, since Bob Iger has returned to CEO of The Walt Disney Company, he has stated that he will re-evaluate the need for them and make a decision at a later time.

If you haven’t experienced Christmas at Disney, I promise you there is nothing more magical! I’m also happy to report that with today’s replenishment of park reservations for December 2022 and January 2023, there are also rooms available at select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels! But, they are limited.
