Train and Tron Testing Underway Today at Magic Kingdom
Its a VERY exciting day at Magic Kingdom as testing is currently going on for BOTH the Walt Disney World Railroad and the TRON Coaster!
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that the Walt Disney World Railroad with stops at Main Street USA, Frontierland and Fantasyland needed to close due to TRON Coaster construction.
But, now that construction is almost finished on TRON and we expect the coaster to open at some point in early 2023, it means the railroad is close to reopening too!
There’s even a Walt Disney World Railroad tunnel that goes through the TRON coaster. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen testing of the steam engines for the Walt Disney World Railroad increasing.
Our MickeyBlogger managed to catch the train testing in action this morning.
We are so excited by the site of Walt’s beloved trains back in action!

We can’t wait to hop on board once again!
Over at Tomorrowland, we were also lucky enough to catch the TRON coaster being tested.
Construction workers look on as the lightcycles soar overhead.
As of going to print, we don’t yet have an official opening date.
However with all this activity, we hope that an opening announcement is coming soon!
There’s still a bit of construction going on to the grounds around the TRON coaster.
You can see cast members adding some finishing touches to the on ramp for the attraction.
We also managed to capture a few videos of TRON testing in action!
