Disneyland Confirms Indiana Jones Adventure’s Temporary Closure
It’s an exciting time for Indy fans, with a new trailer recently released for the fifth sequel in the epic franchise. Interestingly, Disneyland just confirmed that Indiana Jones Adventure will be temporarily closed for refurbishment next year.

Why is it interesting you ask? Well, fans are wondering if Disney is updating the ride to include new additions reflecting Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny!

This is, of course, speculation but the timing is definitely noteworthy! Guests became privy to the possibility of the ride’s closure via Disneyland’s official app in October.
MickeyBlog reported that the Park’s website calendar was not showing the attraction’s typical operational times from November 14, on. This sparked questions and concerns from eager fans.

Although the ride is currently in operation, Disney journalist Scott Gustin reports that it will soon, indeed be experiencing a closure. Next year, starting January 9 until an unknown date in the spring of 2023, it will be closed for refurbishment.
Disney has yet to announce what “refurbishment” actually means in this case, although it’s common knowledge that the ride needs work! With an extended closure of over 2 months, rumors are swirling about other possibilities that might be taking place behind closed doors.

Indiana Jones Adventure
Indiana Jones Adventure is a highly popular ride at Disneyland. It happens to be my favorite!
The attraction truly makes you feel like you’re being swept through a movie, one of its standout features. There’s really no other experience quite like it at Disneyland Park, although its configuration reminds me of Radiator Springs Racers at Disney’s California Adventure Park.

A staple since 1995, it has pretty much maintained its original form for the past 27 years. There have been slight adjustments and variations throughout, but nothing major.
That being said, you can see why the idea of additional features would be exciting. Of course, this closure could be due to general maintenance or something entirely different.
