Kirstie Alley has sadly passed away after her battle with cancer. The announcement was made on her official Twitter account.

Doctors and nurses from Moffitt Cancer Center cared for the beloved actress, for which they are grateful. A snippet from the post lovingly reads:
“Our mother’s zest and passion for her life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did.”
Her children went on to thank fans for their love and prayers. The family is asking the public to respect their privacy during this difficult time.
