Disney Channel and National Geographic Team Up To Showcase Awesome Animal Kingdom Animals
Let the countdown begin! Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park officially opens this coming Saturday (July 11th) and from the videos we’re about to show you, the animals are as awesome as ever!
Disney Channel stars Ava Kolker and Christian J. Simon from Sydney to the Max joined forces with Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team and National Geographic to learn all about some of the theme park’s incredible inhabitants. Ava and Christan were able to get up close with some pretty awesome animals including Sumatran tigers, zebra longwing butterflies, swallowtail butterflies and prehensile-tailed porcupines.
Let’s get started with a visit to the tigers you’ll find at the Maharajah Jungle Trek…:
Get ready for cuteness! Ava and Christian also had a chance to get up close and personal with a prehensile-tailed porcupine with Conservation Manager Dr. Zak along with Maria (an animal keeper.) Check out the video below where they find out what makes these animals so unique!
If you love baby animals as much as we do, then there’s a very special treat for you as well. Take a look…
Our heart is aflutter over this next video where Dr. Zak introduces us to the zebra longwing butterflies and giant swallowtail butterflies. You can find these majestic creatures in the Pollination Garden near Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch.
The week ahead is going to be a massive one for Walt Disney World and Animal Kingdom. We’ll be coming to you LIVE! from the theme parks later this week so keep following along with MickeyBlog for the latest Walt Disney World news and updates.
