Pluto Preps for Winter, Bundles Up with New EPCOT Ensemble
The weather outside in Orlando today is far from frightful, but Pluto showed that he is ready for the winter chill. During his meet and greets today, Mickey’s beloved pet shared his new holiday look to help kick off the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.
Though often spotted at the front of the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (EPCOT) in the morning, Pluto strutted his way to the character meeting gazebo at the front of World Showcase this afternoon.
With an abundant amount of fluffy white accents, Pluto seemed prepared for the snow (or at least snoap, as the magical snow that falls at Walt Disney World is called). The gazebo also transferred into a holiday wonderland overnight clad now in poinsettas, pine, ornaments and candy cane-striped bows.
Like the graphics for the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, Pluto’s new scarf-like collar and ear muffs both use a soft, cool blue fabric as the background.
White snowflakes scatter across the stitching of the ear covering’s headband as well as the interior detail of Pluto’s ultra-cozy, thick collar.
We especially loved Pluto’s new nametag that perfectly coordinates with the cloud-like details of his ear warmers thanks to its border of powdery cotton detailing.
Pluto joined a host of other characters that switched up their traditional ensembles today for more festive outfits. Specifically, Donald Duck delighted guests in the Mexico pavillion with his holiday-detailed poncho.
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays descended today on the theme park. With an array of food booths, unique entertainment, and exclusive merchandise, the festival always adds such a special touch to any visit to Walt Disney World this season.
This year’s extensive celebrations at EPCOT will end on December 30th to give the park the night to prepare for its next epic celebration: New Year’s Eve.
