Color-Changing Holiday Cups Debut at Disney Starbucks Locations
With Thanksgiving behind us, holiday festivities at Walt Disney World introduced their final details this morning. One awaited specialty item popped up at Disney Springs today: the color-changing cups at Starbucks locations.
Whether filled or not, this year’s color-changing cup features white stenciled details blooming with holiday flowers and vinery. Berries also dot the festive design.
When empty, the $3.95 collectible cup features a sparkling gold shade. When a hot beverage fills the vessel, this year’s holiday cup changes to an almost-iridescent silver shade.
Where many recent Starbucks collectible cups tend to embed the Starbucks logo in the colors of the vessel itself, this year’s holiday cup boldly features the brand’s traditional green and white emblem front and center, as the company does on its standard cups.
Around the back of the cup, the usual markings for beverages also appear in white applique.
The new color-changing cups are always a popular upgrade during the holiday season at Starbucks locations around Walt Disney World. Today, Starbucks also finally released their standard holiday cups at Disney Springs too.
In many locations nationwide, the four new retro holiday designs of this year’s cups dropped at Starbucks locations the week after Halloween.
This year’s cups play with fun geometric takes on traditional Christmas symbols like snowflakes, ribbons, and stars.
Another cup uses mid-century modern Christmas trees in white set on a bright red background. It brings such a touch of holiday cheer to seeing this cups all around Disney Springs today as many take advantage of Black Friday sales popping up at locations throughout the shopping district, including World of Disney.
