Happy 94th Birthday Mickey Mouse!
We wish a very Happy 94th Birthday to the Main Cheese himself, Mickey Mouse!
One of our MickeyBlog reporters, Jared, visited the Magic Kingdom this morning and thought that Mickey Mouse deserved his own Happy Birthday button.
He was, of course, thrilled that we would help him celebrate his 94th Birthday.
Appearance of Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse made his first appearance to us in a short movie called, Steamboat Willie, released on November 18, 1928.
We had been introduced to Mickey Mouse in a test screening of Plane Crazy on May 15, 1928. But Steamboat Willie was the first of them to be distributed.
Steamboat Willie is most notable because it was one of the first movies to have synchronized sound.
The character, Mickey Mouse was co-created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks.
Since Mickey’s debut he is the most well known face in the Walt Disney Company.
Some History of Mickey Mouse’s 94 Years
Since debuting in Steamboat Willie in 1928, Mickey Mouse has been in almost 30 movies, multiple comic strips, in video games and on countless merchandise items.

Mickey Mouse was originally voiced by Walt Disney himself. Since then Mickey Mouse has since been voiced by at least 13 different people.
At this point you can see Mickey Mouse at meet and greets in all four Walt Disney World parks.
In the Magic Kingdom you will find Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater.
For seeing him at EPCOT he can be found in the Pixar Short Film building next to the Imagination Pavilion.
At Hollywood Studios, Mickey can be found in his Sorcerer Apprentice costume across from the Sci Fi dine in theater.
Then in the Animal Kingdom, Mickey can be found in his safari costume at the Adventure Outpost on Discovery Island.
He and Minnie Mouse have their own ride, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Hollywood Studios.
We wish you a very Happy 94th Birthday Mickey Mouse, with many more to come!
