Park Specific Ticket Pricing and Price Increases on Horizon for Walt Disney World Tickets
Walt Disney World has just announced they will be transitioning to Park Specific Ticket Pricing for 1-Day, 1-Park tickets. This change will go into effect beginning December 8, 2022.
Park Specific Ticket Pricing
Beginning December 8, 2022, when a Guest is purchasing a 1-Day, 1-Park ticket, they will first select the date and the park they are wishing to visit before making their transaction. In addition, once the ticket is purchased, a theme park reservation for that day will automatically be made.
If you are purchasing a multi-day ticket, you will still need to make theme park reservations.
Once this new Park Specific Ticket Pricing structure goes live on December 8, 2022, tickets to the Magic Kingdom will be priced the highest due to demand. Below is a range of what Guests can expect to pay for each park who purchase a 1-Day, 1-Park ticket:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $109-$159 (same range as today)
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $124-$179
- EPCOT: $114-$179
- Magic Kingdom: $124-$189
It’s important to note that the highest range of tickets for the Magic Kingdom, $189, is going to be on the dates crowds are historically the highest – On the days between Christmas Day and New Years Day.
Prices Increasing for Ticket Add-Ons
Walt Disney World has also confirmed that the cost to add the following add-ons to your tickets will be increasing beginning December 8, 2022:
- Park Hopper
- Park Hopper Plus
Price Increase for Multi-Day Tickets?
While not officially confirmed by Disney, we are also hearing that the price of multi-day tickets for Disney Parks will also be increasing on December 8, 2022.
This announcement was made by Scott Gustin on Twitter who always turns out to be a reliable source.
Multi-day tickets and other tickets are expected to increase starting Dec. 8 – but I don’t have any pricing examples for those tickets.

Annual Pass Price Increase
While sales of the Incredi-, Sorcerer and Pirate Annual Passes for Walt Disney World remain suspended, renewals are still offered. However, Disney has just confirmed that price increases will impacting them beginning December 8, 2022. These price increases will range from $43-$100.
Statement from Disney
On the heels of these changes to Walt Disney World Park tickets, Disney has just released the following statement:
We continue to focus on providing Guests with the best, most memorable Disney experience, and we’re doing that by growing our theme parks with incredible new attractions and offerings.
