Hands-Free Theme Park Entry
One of the biggest advantages of MagicBand+ is that it will offer hands-free theme park entry to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. The bands can also be scanned at your favorite attracts for Lightning Lane entrance check-in.
This means you’ll no longer need to pull out your phone or fumble for your ticket. You can also link your Disney PhotoPass photos to your Disney account with MagicBand+. Best of all, the new generation of wearable tech is easy to use, comfortable and perfect for Disney fans of all ages.
Take Part in Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters
Head over to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland for new immersive experiences through MagicBand+ with the introduction of Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters. In Start Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters, guests can track down virtual targets using vibrations and lights on your bands to guide you. MagicBand+ will turn green when you are headed in the drection of your bounty and red when you are going the wrong direction. Haptic feedback will speed up as you approach the door that hides your target. Once you’ve completed your mission you can return to local guild master Raga Bua to receive galactic credits and new missions.
See and Feel Your Theme Park Experiences
Guests will be able to see and feel your park experiences with MagicBand+. The bands feature color-changing LED lights, haptic vibrations and gesture recognition. New immersive elements have been added to the Avengers Campus. The bands will also illuminate and pulse in sync with nighttime spectaculars including World of Color at Disney California Adventure and Fantasmic! in Disneyland.
In 2023, Disneyland will also offer new ways to interact with MagicBand+ as part of Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder offerings including World of Color – One.
Link MagicBand+ with the Disneyland App
To get the most out of your MagicBand+ experience, be sure to link your band to your Disneyland app. This will unlock in-app upgrade giving guests the ability to set color schemes, adjust motion recognition settings and turn on/off the haptic vibrations.
You’ll also want to make sure that your MagicBand+ is charged. It comes with its own USB charging cable.
Experience MagicBand+ when it officially launches on October 26, 2022. Cast Members, Magic Key Holders and DVC members will also have early access which went into effect yesterday (October 19th.)
