Pumpkin Replaces Birthday Cake at Entrance to Magic Kingdom
Our MickeyBloggers are kicking the morning off at the Magic Kingdom and noticed a big change to the Mickey and Minnie topiary display as you enter the park.
Though Disney World is still in the midst of its 50th Anniversary celebration, the birthday cake that had pride of place between Mickey and Minnie in the display has been replaced with a pumpkin patch.
Several pumpkins have been added to the area and it definitely feels like the spooky season as soon as you walk up to the park.
However, Disney’s 50th is still underway. The celebration runs a whopping 18 months so the departure of the cake seems a bit early.
We did manage to get a few amazing pictures as we entered the park with the Main Street Station in the background.
No word as of yet if the 50th cake is gone for good or if we’ll see it crop up post Halloween.
Though, those familiar with Disney decorating will know that there’s only about a one week transition period between the Halloween and Christmas décor.
With that in mind, possible that the cake will remain a thing of the past and a tree will take the place of the pumpkin patch come early November.
