New Star Wars Line Throws Back to ’90s Styles
Just in time for Disney+ Day, Keystone Clothiers at Hollywood Studios released a new line of Star Wars apparel today perfect for those looking for a mash-up of styles. With a variety of loungewear options, the new collection mixes iconic characters and alliances from the Light and the Dark Side.
The Rebels and the Wookies unite on the line’s tee, which uses a color combination of red and white that seems reminiscent of a vintage baseball tee. The throwback vibe continues thanks to red stitching at both the waistline and the sleeves of the tee.
Staying true to the colorblocking used throughout the collection, the back of the tee continues with the juxtaposed stark white and deep red fabric choices.
The $29.99 tee makes sure to include a ’77, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the release of “Star Wars – Episode IV: A New Hope.”
Star Wars Fashions Fit for Fall
In a nod to this fall’s number one fashion must-have plaid, a long-sleeve in the collection mixes together two icons of the Dark Side: The Imperials and Stormtroopers.
The crimson red shade of the Imperial Guard dominates one side of the long-sleeved sweatshirt with an ironic cursive font underneath the menacing face of Darth Vader. The alternative side of the sweatshirt uses a grey heather background to accentuate an image of a Stormtrooper seemingly dashing away.
The $59.99 long-sleeved (and warm) top pulls its plaid pattern throughout the back of the shirt’s design. Though the red accent disappears on the top’s back, it does add another crimson accent to the front in a drawstring.
The collegial aspects of the design of all four pieces of this collection really shines in a long-sleeved that also acts as a penant for one set of Star Wars heroes: the Rebels.
At $49.99, this long-sleeved offers a lighter weight option for fall and one of the more subtle nods to Star Wars in this collection.
With snaps on the side, the ultra-cozy sweatpants released in this line seem fit for a day of binging trilogies on Disney+. The deep gray hue lets the embroidered block lettering stand out as they would on a letterman jacket.
We spotted the sweatpants for $49.99 during our stop into Keystone Clothiers, home to a range of Star Wars and Marvel merchandise on Hollywood Boulevard at Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort.
