What’s Disney Like in February 2023
Walt Disney World vacations are always spectacular. The catch is that the parks are usually crowded, too.
So, many clever tourists have deduced the best months for visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth.

What’s Disney like in February 2023? Well….
Let’s Talk about February Visits
Not everyone can visit Walt Disney World during the month of February. For example, parents with school-age children cannot take them out of class for Disney.
Instead, they must wait until Spring Break, summer vacation, or the various other holidays.
However, adults without children can still go. Similarly, those mothers and fathers without school-aged kids can also travel to Orlando.
We’re not talking about a small number of people, but we are talking about fewer vacationers. That’s what matters here.
February crowds won’t be anywhere near as substantial as during March and April, the times when various schools schedule their Spring Break weeks.

Let’s Talk about the Weather
While January is even less crowded, the cold weather that month could keep away many vacations. You won’t face that same problem in February, though.
According to WeatherSpark, Orlando’s average temperatures for this month are ideal.

Average high temperatures range from 60 to 83 degrees, averaging 75 degrees.
While you’ve likely read that Central Florida temperatures are gradually trending upward, we’re only discussing a degree or two every few years.
So, you can safely expect highs in the mid-70s to low-80s during your visit. Bring a jacket on the off chance that the weather falls lower, though.
After all, the average low temperature in Orlando in February is 56 degrees. However, it can fall as low as 41 degrees. Then again, a low of 66 degrees is also possible.
Predicting the weather has grown trickier in recent years. Still, one statement remains an absolute. Florida’s weather is better than yours.
That goes for pretty much anyone living in the continental United States.
My one word of caution is that you bring an umbrella and/or rain slicker during your visit.

Central Florida faces constant cloudy weather in Florida, something you’ll appreciate while you’re standing in line for outdoor attractions.
The catch is that it rains approximately every fourth day. So odds are good that you’ll visit the parks on at least one rainy day and should plan accordingly.

Let’s Talk about Disney Events in February 2023
Disney will host a significant event during most of February. While we don’t know the dates yet, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts should return.
In 2022, this exhibition lasted through February 21st. So that’s three-quarters of February where you can experience EPCOT’s most underrated festival.

This event celebrates artistry across many genres. You’ll find gorgeous food and paintings as the starter kit here. However, those things only scratch the surface.
Performers roam the parks to provide entertainment. You never know when you might notice a moving statue, a mime, or some other interactive artist.
The star of this event isn’t up for debate, though. Everyone adores the DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series, which is just what it sounds like.
Various Broadway actors sing the classic Disney hits that have made these people famous.

We’re talking about performers from The Lion King, Aladdin, Mary Poppins, Newsies, and The Little Mermaid.
Also, I must stress that these are the Broadway leads from these plays, not understudies or fourth national touring company singers…not that there’s anything wrong with any of them.
My point is that if you want to watch musical renditions of The Lion King on Broadway as part of standard EPCOT admission, this option is ideal!
Let’s Talk about Central Florida Events in February 2023
Speaking of Broadway, the greater Orlando area often hosts plays at the Dr. Phillips Center. And some of them are world-class!

An upcoming example is Hamilton, whose national touring company will appear in late 2022.
Guests visiting in February won’t have it quite so good, as all other modern plays are, by definition, inferior to Hamilton.

Still, theater lovers are in business! First, Wicked will run through February 12th. Then, Pretty Woman: The Musical will replace it on February 28th.
So, those of you willing to leave the warm embrace of the Disney Bubble can venture out into the city and catch a beloved Broadway play.

Then again, you may be more of a concert fan. If so, you’re in luck as well! Now that the pandemic has ended, bands are out in force again.
Announced Orlando concerts for February of 2023 include Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. So, there’s something for everyone.

Sports fans will find plenty to do as well. The Orlando Magic host five home games during February.
You can watch last year’s stud, Jalen Suggs, with Paolo Banchero, the number one overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

The Magic won’t be good this year, but they will be fun to watch, and that’s all basketball fans care about.
Orlando City SC, the professional sports league, hasn’t announced its 2023 schedule yet.

We do know that they played the preseason schedule last February, followed by their season opener on February 27th.
So, I’d say that odds are better than 50/50 that you can watch an early-season match with a February visit. But, if not, stay until early March to give yourself a better chance!

Final Thoughts
I firmly believe that the first two months of the year are among the best for Walt Disney World visits.
I’ve stood in line for hours for enough rides to know I don’t enjoy it. I’m more of an off-season kind of Disney fan these days.

A February visit is ideal for people like me…and that’s before we factor in that Bruce Springsteen will play in Orlando next February!
