Where Are the Current Character Meetings at Magic Kingdom?
Disney character meetings are back in a big way at the parks!
The pandemic has ended, and hugging is back in style now that we’re past that social distancing nonsense!
Still, during the last three years, you may have forgotten the hangout spots of all your favorites.
Here are the current locations of Magic Kingdom character meet and greets.

Princess Fairytale Hall
For several years now, two locations have stood out as the top meeting spots at Magic Kingdom.
One of those places is Princess Fairytale Hall, the home to several Disney Princesses. Disney rotates the list to keep the visits fresh and fun.

Currently, you’ll find:
- Cinderella
- Elena of Avalor
- Rapunzel
- Tiana
Disney has split the experience into two parts. You’ll find Cinderella and a visiting Disney Princess on one side.
Meanwhile, Tiana and a visiting Disney Princess hold court on the other side.
Currently, Elena of Avalor joins Cinderella, while Rapunzel hangs out with Tiana.
You can see that kids love meeting these magical characters:
Also, you’ll notice in this short that Disney has removed social distancing barriers. So it’s a full-fledged character meeting now!
The lone drawback at various character spots is that the crowds are larger than usual for an obvious reason. We all missed these character spots!

Disney has addressed this problem, though. You can use Disney Genie+ to book reservations at both locations.
Please understand that you’ll need to spend two different Disney Genie+ bookings to do everything.

Each side of the Princess Fairytale Hall character spot requires its own Disney Genie+ booking.
You must choose between Tiana and Rapunzel vs. Cinderella and Elena of Avalor, or you must use two Disney Genie+ reservations.

That’s the situation at Princess Fairytale Hall, although I must stress that you don’t need Disney Genie+ here. It’ll merely speed up your visit.
The average wait here is around 35 minutes. So, you should be capable of doing everything here in about 75 minutes.

Town Square Theater
One other Magic Kingdom location utilizes Disney Genie+ to manage its lines more effectively.
You’ll find that spot right as you enter the gate at Magic Kingdom. It’s Town Square Theater at Main Street, U.S.A.
Mickey Mouse returned to his home here a while ago. Minnie only recently joined him. So, this is probably the hottest character spot at Magic Kingdom right now.
Disney fans wait an average of 50 minutes to interact with the iconic duo. Guests who reserve via Disney Genie+ will cut that time by as much as 80 percent.
Of course, you may not be in a rush here anyway. Town Square Theater offers a delightful backdrop that has enchanted guests for many years.
You may prefer to stand in line with everyone else and admire the scenery.

Enchanted Glade Gazebo in Liberty Square
Some character greetings aren’t always available. When they are, you should prioritize them, though.
For example, you’ll sometimes find Anastasia and Drizella at Cinderella Fountain. But, lately, they’ve taken to talking trash at a different spot.
On most days, you’ll find them at the Enchanted Glade Gazebo in Liberty Square. If you know where Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe is, you can find this place!
Of course, since they won’t always be there, you should get into the practice of checking My Disney Experience.

The app will show whether Cinderella’s wicked stepsisters are appearing that day. In addition, by using the app, you can always tell which character greetings are available.
Adventureland Options

You’ll find three characters in the Adventureland part of Magic Kingdom. They are:
- Aladdin
- Jasmine
- Captain Jack Sparrow
You can probably guess who groups with who and which character stands alone.

Aladdin and Jasmine often hang out just north of Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Similarly, you’ll find Captain Jack across from Pirates of the Caribbean.
In my experience, Captain Jack is a bit more likely to appear. However, others have told me it’s the exact opposite for them.

The app will identify appearance times for each character, thereby eliminating the mystery.
Frontierland Balcony
Magic Kingdom also hosts sightings. I’m mentioning them now because Adventureland fans know a secret.
You can watch Aladdin and Jasmine walk under the covered area and find yourself transported to Frontierland.
Conveniently, you’re almost at Frontierland Balcony, where some of the Country Bears sometimes stand and wave.
Big Al, Liverlips, Shaker, and Wendell all occasionally shout hi from this balcony.

Fantasyland
When you have met everyone at Princess Fairytale Hall, you can find five more characters at Fantasyland.
Peter Pan often frequents the courtyard near Peter Pan’s Flight, although I’m rarely lucky enough to see him here.

Fittingly, Belle resides at the back of the park at Maurice’s Cottage. She’s here even though Enchanted Tales with Belle remains closed.
Then, you may bump into Chip ‘n’ Dale on the other side of Fantasyland at Storybook Circus.
Storybook Circus has historically offered several more potential character greetings. Currently, these two are the only interactions, though.
I expect that will change soon, but Chip ‘n’ Dale provide more than enough entertainment on their own.
Perhaps the easiest character to find in Fantasyland is Merida, who recently returned to her spot at Fairytale Garden.
Magic Kingdom uses a “hub-and-spokes” design, with Cinderella Castle functioning as the center.
When you follow the spoke/walking path directly to the castle’s right, you’ll go straight to Merida’s section. It’s just before Cheshire Café in a nook.
Tomorrowland
You’ll find the other two character sightings in this themed land. Both of them occur at Rocket Tower Plaza Stage.

That’s the concert stage between Space Mountain and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.
Sometimes, Stitch does a little dance here while entertaining guests with his chaotic shenanigans.

At other times, Buzz Lightyear meets with guests or stands on the stage and waves.
You may remember characters from The Incredibles here as well. But, alas, Disney isn’t hosting Super Party Time here now.

So, Buzz and Stitch remain the highlight characters at Tomorrowland for now.
Of course, Disney is also bringing back character greetings at random intervals. Just this week, we got this one! You should keep checking MickeyBlog to learn when new ones debut!
