New Decor Arrives at Magic Kingdom’s Mad Tea Party
Always prepared for a very, merry unbirthday celebration, the Mad Tea Party attraction at Magic Kingdom received a bit more delightful detailing this week. New teapots and cups sprang up out of the gardens surrounding the attraction just yesterday.
Coordinating with the tea cups of the beloved twirling opening day attraction, the Mad Tea Party’s new tableware decor uses the same color patterns as the ride vehicles themselves (with a couple of exceptions). Most notably, the playfully designed tall pink tea pot uses a more modern brown accent.
One stack of cups and assorted pots sits just at the bottom of the attraction’s signage as guests exit the whimsical ride.
Another sits just to the left of the Mad Hatter Fab 50 golden statue at the attraction’s perimeter. The statue debuted on October 1st as part of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” marking Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary.
This grouping sits all in a row just in front of a set of perfectly manicured hedges. With an array of cups, saucers, and of course, tea pots, the collection looks poised for a tea party at anytime.
The words of teacher Randy Pausch still rest on a leaf-like sign just to the left of the quirky new decorations: “Be good at something. It makes you valuable. Have something to bring to the table, because that will make you more welcome.”
With the new enchancements to the Mad Tea Party attraction, the Mad Hatter certainly brings a wealth of creative excitement to this area. His statue also got a bit of an upgrade this week when MagicBand+ debuted, featuring the “Disney Fab 50 Quest.”
With 50th anniversary festivities continuing, we can’t wait to see what other little additions might arrive to the Mad Tea Party attraction over the next few months.
