New Production Images Revealed for ‘Avatar 2’
We’ve got some exciting images to share with Avatar fans. The official Twitter page for the the much-anticipated sequel featured several images from the film that were released for a piece with Empire.
As we previously mentioned here at MickeyBlog the film will be largely water-based. In the same article, director James Cameron also revealed the the sequel will come in with a runtime of nearly three hours.
The film will see the return of Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder, Matt Gerald and Sigourney Weaver returning in a different role.
There are also some noteworthy new cast members including Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Oona Chaplin, Vin Diesel, and CJ Jones.
The first film is slated to be released later this year. There are three more films expected in the franchise with Avatar 3 slated to be released on December 20, 2024, Avatar 4 in December of 2026 and Avatar 5 in 2028.
