Disneyland Discontinues Sales of All Magic Key Passes
With only two products still on sale as of this morning, Disneyland Resort announced today that they would no longer sell any of their Magic Key Passes effective immediately. Last August, the resort rolled out Magic Key as its new annual pass program with four tiers available.
NEW: Disneyland has stopped sales on ALL Magic Key passes. Existing Magic Key holders will be given a renewal opportunity when their passes expire – starting later this summer.

Only the most restrictive of the two tiers remained on sale prior to the announcement: The Enchant Key and the Imagine Key. Before today, the highly-limited Imagine Key sold for $399 and the slightly more flexible Enchant Key cost $649.
Luckily, according to a Tweet by theme park reporter Scott Gustin, those who do hold a valid Magic Key pass will be offered some type of opportunity to renew. Dates for renewewal would most likely coincide with the anniversary of the pass release date on August 25, 2021.
The Backstory of Magic Key
The top-tier product, Dream Key, sold out in just weeks last year despite its high price tag of $1399. The Believe Key only lasted a few more weeks after that, selling out in late November. Then, resort official said the pass sales paused “in order to deliver a great guest experience for all guests,” according to an article by news outlet KTLA.
Earlier this month, Magic Key found itself again in the news when a judge allowed a lawsuit filed by a current Dream Key holder on behalf of all Magic Key annual passholders against Walt Disney Park and Resorts to continue moving forward. The suit claims that, though advertised as without blackout dates, the park reservation system inadvertently limited the amount of Magic Key holders that could visit the park each day.
New California Resident Ticket Offer Announced
In lieu of offering new Magic Key sales, today Disneyland Resort did announce a new ticket deal today for California residents. A special three-day ticket is now on sale for visits that begin Monday through Thursday between June 13th and September 15th. Pricing for those tickets begins at $249 for all weekday visits and extends upward to $299 for visits that include weekends.
