Disney Confirms Rooms at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Will Be Refurbished
After two years, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort reopened earlier this year. While we were more than excited for Walt Disney World’s last resort to finally reopen, we were a little bummed that the rooms hadn’t been refurbished like the rooms at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort and Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and even Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
If you were also bummed that the rooms at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort were not refurbished after the extended closure, I have some good news to pass along: Disney has confirmed those rooms will be refurbished!

planDisney Panelist, Malanie, answered the following:
Rachel, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort has reopened! Guests can now return to the two awesome poos on property, as well as the fantastic options at the End Zone Food Court. After speaking at length with a Cast Member at the resort, I am told that rooms have not been refurbished. The rooms still have the star pattern carpet and a mini-fridge, but no coffee maker. Like the other All-Star Resorts, Sports Resort is expected to undergo a refurbishment, however, there is no set date for this to begin. If you are looking for a refurbished room for your upcoming stay, may I suggest Disney’s Pop Century Resort. All the rooms at Pop Century have been redone, and there is access to Disney Skyliner as well!

So, there you have it! While it is certain that the rooms at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will soon be refurbished, we do not have a timeline on when the refurbishments will be started and completed.
