Wookieepedia: Star Wars By the Numbers
On this May the Fourth, let’s celebrate Star Wars by taking a look at the numbers!
Fandom is the world’s largest entertainment and gaming platform. They have over 300 million site visits a month!
If you’re a Star Wars fan, you should really visit Wookieepedia at StarWars.Fandom.com. This is the largest fan site on Fandom with more than 175,000 pages of content.
What is Wookieepedia?
According to their about page:
Wookieepedia is a wiki-based online encyclopedia that contains detailed information about the Star Wars movies and the spin-offs from those, including books and video games.
Star Wars Fandom
On Wookieepedia, you’ll find a wealth of excellent Star Wars resources. There are articles, and insider’s guide to Galaxy’s Edge, the latest news and a very active community.
It’s structured very similarly to Wikipedia with community-sourced articles and links to resources.

Ultimate Skywalker quiz
If you head over to the Wookieepedia, test your Star Wars knowledge with the Ultimate Skywalker Quiz.
I did pretty well – on my first try I got 31 out of 40 answers correct. But I knew I could do better – so I went back and scored 36 out of 40. Phew!
Star Wars by the numbers
Fandom has analyzed data from its 40 million pages of content to determine what Americans like when it comes to Star Wars.
Their first analysis is about allegiance – would Americans prefer to be Jedi (light side) or Sith (dark side).

As you can see in the graphic above, more Americans would choose to be on the light side.
Which would you choose? Does your state line up with your choice?

As you can see, the favorite is Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope, with 13 states preferring it above the others. Remember, this is the movie that launched the series back in 1977.
