Your Guide to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
No hotel in the Anaheim area really captures the spirit of California through inspiring design and daring architecture quite like Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This hotel has been given the AAA Four Diamond distinction and features 948 guest rooms and 71 Disney VacationClub Villas, and is the flagship hotel of the Disneyland Resort.

The property celebrates the early 20th Century Arts & Crafts movement from the California coastline to the Monterey pines and redwood forests, the hotel layered with memories of Arroyo craftsmen and the Plein Air school of painters. If you want to splash out on the ultimate Disneyland getaway then look no further than Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. To help you plan the perfect visit, Disneyland has created a handy pocket guide to this resort.
And to give you just a sample, here are seven reasons why we think this property is so special!
Updated Rooms and Amenities
The hotel was completely renovated in 2017 and now features updated guest rooms, a refreshed lobby, pool area and concierge-level lounge. Many of the rooms offer amazing views of Disney California Adventure Park and Downtown Disney. The hotel also offers incredible amenities whether that be the award-winning Napa Rose restaurant or the well-equipped gym.

GRAND HALL LOBBY — New magic enhances Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa with completely redesigned guest rooms, a refreshed lobby, pool areas and the concierge-level club. The most extensive refurbishment since the hotel’s 2001 opening elevates the guest experience and brings a contemporary approach to the Arts & Crafts design style of this AAA Four Diamond hotel. Standard Rooms
In addition to the villa properties, the hotel also features 948 guest rooms including 44 suites.

The Only Disneyland Resort With Its Own Entrance To The Theme Parks
For those looking for comfort and convenience, it doesn’t get much better than Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This property boasts its own exclusive entrance to Disney California Adventure. That means quick and easy access for those looking to take advantage of another Disneyland Resort onsite perk – Extra Magic Hour. This provides early entry to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure on every day of your stay.

Disney Dining at Its Best
Since we mentioned it, let’s start with the delectable dining guests can experience at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. For award-winning wines and seasonal menus, be sure to make your reservations at Napa Rose. This signature dining experience offers guests gourment California fare at dinner. In the early AM, Napa Rose is also the home of the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures where your family will enjoy a three-course breakfast with enchanting encounters with some Disney Princesses. Advanced dining reservations are highly recommended for both of these dining experiences.
Guests can also get a chance to greet some of their favorite Disney Characters while dining at Storytellers Cafe for breakfast. The menu at Storytellers Cafe is American buffet/family style and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And if outdoor dining is more your speed, you will enjoy dining at the GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill, located near Fountain Pool. Mobile Ordering is also available here at the grill.
