CDC Changed Mask Mandates on Bus Transportation
Big news came from the CDC yesterday. The CDC changed mask mandates for transportation, including buses and vans.
Mask Changes on Transportation
The CDC said, “Effective February 25, 2022, CDC does not require wearing of masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs.” So, the question is…does this change only apply to school systems?
As we know, Disney transportation is primarily buses; however, there are also vans. Plus, the monorail may be considered a train, and many trains transport Guests within the parks. So, this mask mandate change for transportation might be a game-changer.
Increased Risk
Of course, enclosed transportation increases the likelihood of COVID-19 infection due to close contact with others for prolonged time periods. Additionally, it is very difficult to remain 6-feet away from others while on public transportation.
Across the world, this type of travel contributes to the interstate and international spread of Coronavirus. The CDC believes masks reduce the virus to spread; therefore, this decision has been prolonged for these reasons.

The CDC mandated Americans to wear face masks on public transportation on January 29, 2021. Now, the CDC changed mask mandates that school systems may choose to enforce masks while on buses or vans.
