Series like Loki, WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Hawkeye have given the MCU an opportunity to explore characters who were unable to shine within varying Marvel films, yet are now able to serve as the centerpiece for stories on streaming platforms.
With titles like Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Ms. Marvel standing as titles that are set to introduce characters via their own Disney+ series, Ironheart is an example of the series serving as a chance to greater explore an existing character.

Riri Willaims- the character behind the mantle of Ironheart– is set to make her MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and it appears the cast of characters set to appear in that series has just increased by one.
A recent report by Variety has suggested that Marvel’s Ironheart series has added This Is Us alum Lyric Ross to the growing cast to joined previously announced stars Dominque Thorne and Anthony Ramos.

To this point, Thorne is the only actor whose role has been confirmed- with the young actress set to portray the title character- with Ramos and now Ross’ roles remaining a mystery to this point.
We know that the series will follow Williams’s transition into the character of Ironheart, a classic comic book hero that stands as the next inheritor to Marvel’s Iron Man; a role now voice due to Tony Stark’s sacrifice in Avengers Endgame.
