We’re At The Return of The Cape May Cafe Breakfast Buffet!
It’s a big day for the Cape May Cafe! After nearly two years, the breakfast and seafood buffets are BOTH returning to the Beach Club Resort today!
Since reopening in May, Cape May has served the all-you-care to enjoy breakfast family-style with food brought directly to your table. But Cape May has a legion of loyal fans who really wanted to see this classic meal return to its laid back, resort breakfast feel. And today is the day!
MickeyBloggers Greg and Elyssa checked in for a 7:30 am reservation and were the first guests seated this morning!
Excited Cast Members opened the doors for the very first buffet style meal at the restaurant since March 2020. Just look at these two!
We’re celebrating, too, Kim!
Let’s check out the menu!
Let’s take a quick spin through, shall we?
There’s plenty of options for everyone!
The buffet is kicked up a notch with dedicated omelet and carving stations.
There’s even a custom crepe station!
You can choose your filling. That mixed berry and cream combo looked good to us!
Just look at how pretty that breakfast is! Crepes always make a breakfast feel fancy, don’t they?
And of course, what Walt Disney World breakfast is complete without Mickey and Minnie waffles?!
You’ll find these classics as well as staples like pancakes, and french toast. Even picky young guests have plenty of options!
We saw hot breakfast potatoes and asparagus…
…and these perfectly portioned hashbrown veggie egg cups. How great are these?!
Breakfast burritos anyone?
If the hot and hearty isn’t your jam, there’s some lighter colder offerings as well.
Platters of fresh fruit were beautifully displayed alongside overnight oats in convenient single serve jars topped with a fresh fruit sauce.
This ambrosia style fruit and yogurt parfait was a nice addition to standard fruit offerings.
Perhaps the real stunner of the Cape May breakfast….the warm pull-apart salted caramel “beach buns” with vanilla cream dipping sauce.
This little piece of heaven is served right to your table, all-you-care-to-eat. And we think you will care a lot. Yum!
For Guests with special dietary needs, we snagged a copy of the buffet’s allergen guide.
Disney provides these guides for guests with varying food allergies. You will find a handy chart that lays out exactly what foods meet your needs. If you still have questions, the staff, and frequently the chef, are happy to speak with you directly!
Want to kick your breakfast up a notch? There’s some adult options for that, too!
Greg and Elyssa both found their breakfasts filling and delicious with so many options! The buffet reopened quietly without much fanfare (Cape May Cafe was already open, after all) but our guests definitely felt this was worth the visit!
It was really great to see this breakfast buffett return this morning. Currently the only buffet on the boardwalk, Cape May Cafe is located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, within walking distance of several other Disney Resort Hotels and right out of Epcot’s back gate!
Reservations are required, so if you’re heading to Walt Disney World soon, we recommend adding this hot and satisfying breakfast to your plans!
