It’s an Enterprising New Era for the PeopleMover
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover has new sponsorship!
Enterprise Rent-A-Car has taken over sponsorship duties for the long standing fan favorite, replacing Alamo Rent-A-Car, who sponsored the attraction since 2005.
As of Tuesday morning, you can also spot the new sponsorship on the attraction’s Walt Disney World landing page and on the My Disney Experience app.
Did you know the PeopleMover is the only currently sponsored attraction in Magic Kingdom? (The new Enchantment fireworks show is brought to you by Pandora, but the show is not classified as an attraction.) The original sponsor at Walt Disney World was the Edison Electric Institute, followed by FedEx, who took over sponsorship of several Tomorrowland attractions during the land’s massive reimagining in 1994. In 2004, the sponsorship moved to Alamo where it remained until now. Alamo and Enterprise are both part of Enterprise Holdings, Inc.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car is poised to reclaim the multi-attraction sponsor role when Tomorrowland’s new Tron Lightcycle Power Run coaster opens. An opening date for that new attraction is still unknown.
