We’re One Week In and Festival of the Holidays Is Bringing the Yuletide Magic
We hope that you had a chance to follow along with us last week for our coverage of the opening of the 2021 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays which is currently happening at Walt Disney World through December 30, 2021. There is no better time to be at Disney World than the Festival where you’ll celebrate the many cherished cultural traditions from around the world.
But that’s not all, you’ll also find sweet and savory eats and treats, festive entertainment and immersive storytelling guaranteed to make this a holiday getaway you won’t soon forget.
Best of all, Festival of the Holidays has something extra to celebrate this year, it being the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort!
Candlelight Processional
For us here at MickeyBlog, one of our favorite things about the Festival of the Holidays each year i the Candlelight Procession. The holidays wouldn’t be the same without this retelling of the first Christmas. This year’s production features the Voices of Liberty Choir, live orchestra and celebrity narrators!
Among those taking part in this magical event in 2021 are Chita Rivera, Lisa Ling, Andy Garcia, Steven Curtis Chapman, Blair Underwood and Pat Sajak.
Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt
Make your Festival of the Holidays visit a family affair with this Frozen-themed scavenger hunt. You’ll be exploring the World Showcase and looking for Olaf while learning about holiday traditions from around the world. This is a scavenger hunt Disney-style!

JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season
You won’t want to miss this energetic holiday performance located in the World Celebration neighborhood of EPCOT and with the incredible Spaceship Earth as its backdrop. Always an uplifting performance, JOYFUL! is a musical celebration of both Christmas and Kwanzaa.
Holiday Traditions
Watch as the holiday traditions and celebrations around the world come to life at the World Showcase. Storytellers, musical acts and other unique performers will share stories about how their countries celebrate the holidays.
Highlights include Las Posadas at the Mexico pavilion, the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs in the Canada pavilion, a Chinese Lion Dance celebrating the new year in the China pavilion, a Hannukkah storyteller along the promenade and other delightful holiday storytellers in France, Italy, Japan, Norway and United Kingdom.
Holiday Kitchens
Be sure to bring your appetites because you’ll have the unique opportunity to enjoy treasured recipes from around the globe from slow-roasted turkey and holiday pot pie to pumpkin gingerbread cheesecake and peppermint sundaes.
A favorite of ours is the Chestnuts and Good Cheer Holiday Kitchen where you can indulge in fire-roasted chestnuts, cinnamon glazed-almonds and cashews!
Holiday Cookie Stroll

Meet Santa
You couldn’t possible visit Disney World at Christmas and NOT meet the one and only Santa! The Jolly Old Man himself will be meeting guests until December 24th at the American Adventure. You’ll get the opportunity to wave hello, pose for a photo and tell him whether you’ve been naughty or nice!
